Tap Dance 踢踏舞

踢踏舞无疑是美国爵士黄金时期及爵士早期最不可或缺的表演形式。它是一种玩节奏、玩时间刻度、玩身体平衡的“打击乐”舞蹈,通常来说踢踏舞表演者也是乐队中的前排打击乐手,音乐家。在数以千计的好莱坞电影中你都能找到踢踏舞的身影,而一些你耳熟能详的名字,也是著名的踢踏舞者,演奏家,好莱坞明星:Betty Grable, Ruby Keeler, Eleanor Powell, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Bill Robinson.

Tap dancing was more or less an absolute must in vaudeville and theatres back in the glamourus era of American show business of the golden age of jazz and pre-jazz. A percussive dance based on rhythm, timing and balance, where the executor is also a front line musician. Popularized all over the world in thousands of Hollywood movies with dancers such as Betty Grable, Ruby Keeler, Eleanor Powell, Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Bill Robinson.

Origin: various places and time periods all over the U.S. during the late 1800s as well as the first half of the twentieth century.
Music: primarily different forms of pre-jazz, jazz and jazz related music in general.
